Washington, D.C. Bike Trip: Day 4

Today was the last day of my bike trip. After yesterday's century ride I was still pretty tired, but I managed to get myself out of bed this morning and headed over to the Rock Creek Trail. I started in Bethesda and rode the Capitol Crescent Trail's Georgetown Branch for a few miles to where it connects to the serene Rock Creek Trail. After 3 days of cold and rain, today it was finally beautiful sunny skies and warm temperatures!

The Rock Creek Trail runs 14.4 paved miles from the Washington, D.C./Maryland border to Needwood Lake. This was a very relaxing ride,The trail twists and turns with dips and hills through the shady, peaceful woods following the path of Rock Creek. After yesterday's ride, this trail was just what the doctor ordered!
